Dalagita sa Likod ng Pawikan follows an island girl’s quest to find meaning and hope in the midst of personal tragedy and environmental degradation.
Anina, an island girl, relentlessly tries to find her fisherwoman-mother who disappeared at sea. She begins her search vis-à-vis the individual journey of Harold, an illegal local wildlife trader. As Anina and Harold cross paths, the two also come face to face with the turtle poachers’ continuous abuse of the environment.
